I am shortlisted for 2026 Royal Academy of Arts Summer exhibition.
I am a Slovak born British artist.
My paintings translate the noise of modern life into abstract compositions, drawing on visual glitches, distortion, and shifting rhythms. I explore how disruption can become structure where instability finds balance and tension resolves into form.
Working primarily with acrylic, I build layered geometric sequences through repetition and intuitive mark-making. Each work develops through a balance of control and improvisation, resulting in surfaces that feel both structured and alive.
My practice is shaped by experiences of illness and recovery, alongside my work in healthcare. These environments inform a sensitivity to fragility, resilience, and transformation, qualities that underpin the emotional core of my work.
I create paintings that invite prolonged looking, oscillating between intensity and calmnes, where viewers can experience both disorientation and a gradual return to equilibrium.
My work is held in private collections and has been exhibited internationally. In 2025 I exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, London, positioning my practice within a wider contemporary context.
My paintings are intended to be experienced physically, where scale, texture, and rhythm fully unfold.
